The Government uses subsidies to pay for farmers to grow certain crops, specifically wheat, corn and soy, genetically modified foods. These crops are highly sprayed and Genetically modified and are typically only used in processed foods such as snacks, crackers, chips, candy etc. We can and this by growing gardens, eating organic and canning foods.
