Controversial Kanye West is Secretly Creating A Sustainable Community in California

Kanye west is one of the most controversial figures in Hollywood. Some love him, and some don’t like him at all, mostly because he aligned himself with Trump while he was in the white house. Kanye is a creative, eccentric and unpredictable musician with a knack for creating things that most people don’t see coming. Like a gospel album after being in hip hop for years. Now, he’s creating a sustainable community in California that grows their own food, produces their own energy and more. A lot of people may be skeptical of Kanye West for various reasons but the more I get to know who Kanye is the more impressed I am and the more I am willing to support him. He’s aiming to create a more sustainable and healthier world with more opportunities for people.

West is currently working on a new project to create affordable-housing structures in Calabasas, California. The domes will be constructed with the goal of bridging social classes and helping those who are less fortunate than others.

The domes are 50 feet high and on land that the owner bought in an attempt to avoid divisions between different income classes. However, not much has been said as to how individuals can qualify for them; they’re only available if you know someone who knows someone else or manage your way into it through various connections.

In a recent Forbes profile, Chicago rapper Kanye West revealed plans to build Star Wars-inspired housing on 300 acres of California land. The initial plan was announced by Yeezy himself last year in May when he tweeted:

In a recently published online article from December 2017, the Chicago hip hop artist and entrepreneur, Kanye West (YEEZUS), has shared his ideas for low income homes that would be influenced aesthetically with designs inspired by those seen within the popular science fiction franchise “Star Wars”. These structures were created as part of an initiative spearheaded primarily through social media; such as Twitter which is where this author first came across these announcements made earlier this past summer.

We’re starting a Yeezy architecture arm called Yeezy home. We’re looking for architects and industrial designers who want to make the world better.”

Yeezy Home is working on affordable housing, which is being called the Social Housing Project, according to Hypebeast.

While these dome-like structures are still in the early stages of development, they will likely have a significant impact on today’s housing market. This is especially true for Los Angeles where homelessness has reached an all time high and continues to be a topic of discussion as there seems to be no viable solution yet. However it appears that Kanye West may just have what everyone needs with his new project aimed at solving this problem once and for all!

Kanye West is ramping up his billion-dollar Yeezy empire. The rapper’s company received a $1.5 million investment from Iconix Brand Group, which will allow him to expand the business into apparel and other products that are set to be released in September 2017 (O’Malley Greenburg).
“Kanye West Expands Billion Dollar Empire,”

“Inspired by Luke Skywalker’s childhood home, West has been working with a team to design prefabricated structures that sport the same austere aesthetic, with the goal of deploying them as low-income housing units.”

I first heard about Kanye’s sustainability projects that were including these domes, growing food, sustainable energy and more on the Joe Rogan podcast and was thoroughly impressed with his plans, ideas and vision. You can watch that interview here:

After seeing this interview it’s difficult to judge Kanye West. His heart seems to be in the right place and he’s actively working to make the world a better place. A healthier, more sustainable place. Regardless of your political views you have to respect that.
