The 8 ounces (approximate) that we take in during a shower is caused by our pores to take water in. The warm water opens our pores and creates an opportunity for water to be absorbed into the body. This means that whatever is in the water, gets into our body. If the water was pure water from nature, it would be great. Unfortunately it’s not. It’s processed and treated tap water. Chemical contamination is added in.
In fact, tap water becomes less healthy over time simply because the water that is treated is waste water, believe it or not. I have been using shower filters for 14 years now and have experimented with different brands over that time period. Some less effective, some more effective. Zeolite is a clay based filtration mechanism that acts as a binder to bind to positively charged particles that you don’t want in your water. Zeolite clay is a natural mineral that is formed from volcanic ash and has a porous structure. It can be used as a filter material to remove impurities from water. The clay has a negatively charged surface, which allows it to attract and adsorb positively charged ions such as heavy metals, cations, and other contaminants. Zeolite clay is also known to remove bacteria, viruses and other microorganisms, radionuclides (essentially nuclear particles), and dissolved organic matter. Zeolite clay filter can be used in various water filtration systems such as water purifiers, swimming pool filters, and waste water treatment plants. However, it is important to note that the effectiveness of zeolite clay filters can vary depending on the specific application and it is important to check the quality and quantity of the zeolite in the filter.
