Weddings are memorable for many reasons.

Not only are they exciting and fun for the bride, groom and their families, but they also may serve as a goalpost and a landmark in people’s lives.

This was clearly the case for two couples, Kim and Kevin and Andy and Jackie.

Kim and Kevin loved each other very much, but Kevin had a physical challenge that would prove to be daunting in the lead-up to the wedding.

Andy and Jackie had a similar love story, that Jackie hoped would culminate in a wedding experience that no one in attendance would forget.

With hard work and perseverance, both couples began chasing their dreams of a perfect wedding.

The Story of Kevin and Kim

When Kevin was younger, he fractured his right leg. A resulting condition forced doctors to remove the lower part of his leg that forced him to remain in a wheelchair.

Everyone felt sorry for him, but he never complained.

He met Kim, and they fell in love. He asked her to marry him, and Kevin began training for a new goal to reach that would shock everyone (more on that later).

The Story of Andy and Jackie

Andy and Jackie

Andy and Jackie’s story has a lot in common with Kevin and Kim’s.

In this case, Jackie was the one dealing with a disability.

Andy fell in love with Jackie despite the fact that she couldn’t walk.

With a goal to shoot for and renewed optimism, Jackie began training to walk down the aisle to marry her soulmate.

She worked hard to achieve her goal, and picked out a mermaid motif for her big day.

What happened next surprised not just Andy, but everyone in attendance — and brought her groom to tears in the process.

These stories are both a testament to the power of true love and fellowship, as well as the power of hard work to make beautiful things happen when you least expect it:
