Amy Schumer is a stand-up comedian, actress and author with a net worth of $25 million.
She rose to fame competing on ‘Last Comic Standing,’ the popular NBC show featuring amateur comedians as contestants, and later went on to create, co-produce, co-write and star in the Emmy-winning show “Inside Amy Schumer.”
She is perhaps best known for her role in the movie ‘Trainwreck,’ which made over $140 million worldwide, and she earned a Tony nomination on broadway for her role in the 2017 play “Meteor Shower” as well.
Highly expressive and not afraid to share how she feels with the audience, Amy is still reeling from what went down between Chris Rock and Will Smith last Sunday.
She came flying onto the stage as ‘Spider Woman’ that evening, as seen in the video below, but since then she has contracted a bad case of vertigo or some other form of stomach ailment or sickness, it seems.
Schumer Says She Was Traumatized, “Waiting for Sickening Feeling to Go Away” After Oscars
Speaking out for the first time since the incident went down last Sunday, actress, comedian and Oscars co-host Amy Schumer said she has had a hard time dealing with what happened that evening.
Smith slapped comedian Chris Rock after a ‘G.I. Jane’ joke referencing her shaved head and ongoing battle with alopecia.
Smith has since announced his resignation from the Academy of Motion Pictures, according to recent reports.
“Still triggered and traumatized,” she wrote on Instagram early Wednesday.
“I love my friend Chris Rock and believe he handled it like a pro. Stayed up there and gave an Oscar to his friend Questlove and the whole thing was so disturbing. So much pain in Will Smith..Anyway I’m still in shock and stunned and sad. I’m proud of myself and my cohosts. But yeah. Waiting for this sickening feeling to go away from what we all witnessed.”
Schumer released an update on her page recently saying that she is still trying to process how she feels about what happened, while sharing a picture of some of the high fashion she wore at the Oscars ceremony.
I think we are all gonna be processing tonight for a while,” she wrote.
“But I love my dress by @gabrielahearst @chloe and @lalignenyc for the pjs. again thank you @chloehartstein @miajonesmua and @kimmykuppkakes for being bad asses.
“Thank you to my partner in crime @mugsykane and the crew at the Dolby what an honor for real. I had fun. And my jaw is still on the floor.”
“Congrats @questlove I love you! @vanityfair @iamwandasykes @morereginahall this was special.”
