5 Timeless Pieces Of Advice From Oprah Winfrey’s Show:
- The first piece of advice comes from Maya Angelou. Maya Angelou shares:
When people show you who they are, believe them. – Maya Angelou
The point of this is to understand that if people show their true colors to not question them or to second guess them. Maya shares if a person shares with you “I’m selfish, or I’m mean, or I am unkind, or I am crazy.” Believe them. They know themselves much better than you do!
- The next piece of advice comes from Iyalna Vanzant. She shares:
When You see crazy coming, cross the street. – Iyalna Vanzant.
Iyalna shares that you do not need to have the mentality of fixing everything or everyone, or to use love to try to heal everyone. When you see crazy coming, don’t entertain it, cross the street!
- The next piece of advice comes from Dr. Phil, he shares:
You create your own experience – Dr. Phil
He shares that he really believes this. If what you’re doing is not working, you have to change it. Everybody will say “I don’t want to be somebody I’m not” Well, if who you are is not working, you’ll find that you have a broad range of who you are.
- The next piece of advice comes from Caroline Myss, she shares:
Don’t trust the fact that life would be logical and orderly. – Caroline Myss
She also shares..
Forgiveness should actually be thought of as the most selfish act you can do for yourself, and self-indulgent. You’re not forgiving for that person. This is where the confusion comes in with it, you’re not saying that “What you did is okay” what you’re really saying is “life isn’t logical and orderly” I’m no longer going to count on ‘ordinary justice’ to work the way I would like it to work, because you know what? You’ll always be disappointed.
- The next piece of advice comes from Gary Zukav, he shares:
Power is the the alignment of your personality with your soul. – Gary Zukav
He goes on to share that when your soul and personality are in alignment that this is authentic empowerment.
