It was announced Monday that Musk, a pro-speech advocate, had purchased Twitter for $44 billion. Since then, the billionaire CEO has vowed to open the platform back up to free speech, get rid of Twitter bots, make the algorithm open-source, and verify every human user.

Some websites have stated that Musk’s takeover could increase disinformation and hate on the platform.
