Recently, he took to Twitter to fire back at critics he says are anti-free speech, calling it an “extreme” reaction to his decision to buy what is debatably the most influential social media platform in the world.

Musk has written consistently about the importance free speech both before and after purchasing Twitter for $44 billion, as evidenced by his official statement made after the historical purchase.
Now, he’s taking aim at those who have criticized his decision in the 24 hours afterward.
He’s not wrong – about the overreaction, or the purpose behind it.
It was announced Monday that Musk, a pro-speech advocate, had purchased Twitter for $44 billion. Since then, the billionaire CEO has vowed to open the platform back up to free speech, get rid of Twitter bots, make the algorithm open-source, and verify every human user.

Some websites have stated that Musk’s takeover could increase disinformation and hate on the platform.
Since taking over the platform, Musk has said he plans to open the platform back up for free speech, get rid of Twitter bots, make the algorithm open-source, and verify every human user.
