One of the best parts about owning your own home is the ability to customize it any way you would like.
Sometimes people add practical items like white picket fences or new gutters to their homes.
Other times, people become a little more experimental.
That was exactly the case for a man named Colin Furze, who spent two years building a curious add-on to his home for one specific and unpredictable way that has people talking.
“It’s a Very Cool Project, Everyone Likes the Idea of Digging Tunnels”
The man, a 42-year-old inventor from the UK, decided to start digging and ended up with three-and-a-half tons of rubble that he removed from beneath his garden.
His goal was to build a tunnel from his home all the way to his shed, all for one surprising reason: he wanted to avoid having to walk through the rain to get his tools.
“It’s been one of the most talked about projects on my channel,” the YouTube star said according to LADBible.
“It’s a very cool project, everyone likes the idea of digging tunnels.”
Tunnel Allows Man to Avoid the Rain
According to Colin, the project has made life easier at his home. It makes things simpler and quicker, and really comes in handy on rainy days.
In the UK, there are quite a few rainy days, so naturally Colin is happy with his project.
It has made his home feel like a castle with secret trap doors, tunnels and compartments, or perhaps a royal wine cellar for entertaining guests.
“I’m very lucky as it’s quicker to open my back door and walk to my shed, but it’s much more fun to use an underground tunnel and it means you don’t get wet if it’s raining.”
“I do the projects that people really want to do but don’t have the time or money to actually make happen,” Colin added.
After viewing the pictures and watching Colin’s video, is this something you would add to your house if you had the money to make it happen?
